Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill a Maintenance Mechanic position with a Food Distributing company in the Vancouver, WA areas The person in this position should have 5+ years of experience and be self driven with minimal supervision required.
Shift: Monday- Sunday (You will get two days off in a row)
Day Shift: 5:00am-4:00pm
Swing Shift: 4:00pm-5:00am
Pay: $24.00-$26.00HR DOE
Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Perform and document regular, preventive service to all company property and equipment including but not limited to machinery, forklifts, trucks, trailers controls, and safety equipment.
- Perform and document planned and unplanned repair including hot-work, confined space and mechanical adjustments while adhering to all safety protocols and GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Understand “production schedules” and work with management to deploy maintenance in a manner that is productive and results in minimum downtime.
- Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) with company managers, and operators of each area.
- Monitor all hot work and confined space entry procedures and activities. Verify work is done in a safe manner inside and outside all covered processes. Keep all equipment in good working order before and after work is done.
- Make SOP update recommendations and aid in updates as well as updates in LOTO.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance, installations, diagnose and correct problems with conveyor systems, pumping systems, hydraulic systems, compressed air systems and lighting systems.
- Controlling downtime by performing routine preventive maintenance techniques.
- Inspection and repair of electrical appliances such as plugs, switches, and lights coordinating the direction of work to plant electrician or outside electrician when necessary.
- Follow blueprints and specifications to troubleshoot electrical wires, sensors, relays, heating elements, weight cells, AC Input/Out’s, DC Input/Out’s, pneumatic systems, camera and optical systems, hydraulic systems, and PLC equipment.
- Experience with motors and motor controls, electrical switchgear, and 3 phase-480v service.
- Have PLC and VFD drive knowledge. (Allen Bradly Specifically)
- Conducts root cause analysis to troubleshoot and eliminate primary causes of downtime and makes sure documentation of root cause is documented in Fiix (CMMS Software) to prevent repeat occurrences.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with company safety procedures and local building/electrical code.
Maintenance Mechanic Qualifications:
- Conscientious and attention to detail.
- "Minimum five years of recent experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic.
