- Schedule: Mon - Fri 7am - 5pm; OT available

Job Overview:
We are hiring a Shop Assistant / Mechanic Helper to support our partner's warehouse and hoist maintenance operations. This role is ideal for someone familiar with hand tools and basic mechanical tasks, assisting our customer's lead mechanic in servicing hoists and performing general shop duties for their commercial scaffolding company.
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead mechanic in inspecting, maintaining, and repairing hoists and shop equipment.
- Perform basic mechanical tasks using hand tools under supervision.
- Help organize and maintain shop tools, equipment, and inventory.
- Support warehouse operations, including material handling and storage.
- Follow safety protocols (OSHA/company standards) for shop and equipment work.
- Assist with scaffold component prep or repairs as needed.
Qualifications:
- Some experience with hand tools and basic mechanical tasks (professional or personal).
- Willingness to learn hoist maintenance and shop operations.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse/shop environment (lifting, standing, etc.).
- A pre-employment drug screen will be required for this position.
